Joseph F. Ficocello is the President & Senior Trial Consultant
of Borrowed Ladder Media Services, Inc.
A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., and a litigation
services professional since 2002, Mr. Ficocello has provided consultation in several
hundred cases within a broad field of legal specialties. His work has been published
in the textbook
Trial Advocacy: Planning, Analysis and Strategy
(Clark, Aspen Publishers, 2nd Edition, 2008) and he is the author of numerous articles
and resources in the areas of litigation technology & software, legal IT, trial
presentation, database creation & maintenance, document management, information
services, creative consulting, graphic design, 2D/3D animation and illustration.
In addition, Mr. Ficocello has also completed Six Sigma certification through the
University of Notre Dame.
A regular contributor and author of dozens of articles, Mr. Ficocello has published
articles relating to litigation technology, law firm IT management, infrastructure
& resources, trial presentation and graphics. A number of articles have been selected
as featured content in TechnoLawyer’s Blawgworld and Legal IT Professionals.
Mr. Ficocello is an inData TrialDirector 5 Certified Trainer, LexisNexis Concordance
2007 Certified Software Administrator (CCSA) & a LexisNexis CaseMap 7.5 Certified
Trainer. He has attained a mastery of over 45 different applications, including
Thomson-West's Livenote & CaseNotebook, TimeMap, TextMap, inData's TimeCoder Pro
& TimelineXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, AfterEffects,
Premiere, Captivate, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Autodesk 3ds Max,
and is quite familiar with various programming technologies such as ASP.NET 1.0/2.0/3.5,
AJAX, HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, ActionScript, Python & MaxScript.
