About Joe
This is the official blog of Joseph Ficocello, the founder of Borrowed Ladder Media Services, Inc. This Florida corporation, founded in 2002, has serviced the legal industry as a premiere provider of litigation support, presentations, graphics, 2D/3D animation, illustration, in-court trial solutions, trial technology and database creation & maintenance.
Mr. Ficocello is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and has completed Six Sigma training through the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. With almost a decade of dedicated service to the legal industry, he has consulted on over over 150 cases in almost every area of the law. Mr. Ficocello has worked with law firms, insurance carriers, corporate legal departments and risk managers in presenting digital evidence, creative consulting and trial technology. He is a TrialDirector 5 Certified Trainer, Concordance Certified Software Administrator (CCSA), CaseMap Certified Trainer, graphic designer, illustrator, 2D/3D animator and creative consultant.
His work has been published in the textbook Trial Advocacy: Planning, Analysis and Strategy (Clark, Aspen Publishers, 2nd Edition, 2008), and he has also designed numerous ads and creative that have appeared in magazines, journals and periodicals. This includes the highly prestigious Corporate Counsel Magazine, The National Law Journal, The American Lawyer, as well as the Intellectual Property Practice Directory, New Jersey TechNews, NanoTrends and various other publications with a national readership.
A regular contributor and author of dozens of articles, Mr. Ficocello has published articles relating to litigation technology, law firm IT management, infrastructure & resources, trial presentation and graphics. A number of articles have been selected as featured content in ALM’s Law.com – Law Technology News, eDiscovery Journal, TechnoLawyer’s Blawgworld and Legal IT Professionals.
